Lao Laan-Xang opened in January 1990, on Odana Road and was Madison's first authentic Laotian restaurant. We reopened on Willy Street in October 1997 and another location on Atwood in February of 2005. We are still the only truly authentic Lao restaurant in Madison. We are delighted to provide the unique cuisine of Laos to those who live in and visit Madison. Our restaurants are consistently selected as area favorites in local polls and recently the Wisconsin State Journal name our Curry Squash as one of the 30 Plates that Define Madison.
